We build our Standard mercury lamps at 120W/cm for a reason. It’s the sweet spot for medium-pressure curing. You get plenty of UVC and UVB to get those adhesives, inks, and coatings to set properly, but you aren’t dealing with the insane heat that high-pressure systems throw at you. Here is how the physics actually works. To keep that UV stream concentrated and consistent, we house the mercury arc in high-purity fused quartz. Why? Because standard glass would just crack under this kind of heat. It’s powerful. Really powerful. And that means your curing times drop. But a word of caution: don’t get too greedy with your line speed. If you push the conveyor too fast, you’ll end up with a tacky, under-cured surface that’s a nightmare to deal with. It’s all about finding that balance between speed and output. Fitting them into your setup We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements. We keep the dimensions tight so they sit perfectly in your existing reflectors. If there’s a gap, you lose light. It’s that simple. We also spent a lot of time on electrode stability. If you’re constantly switching the lamps on and off, you don’t want them burning out prematurely. We’ve handled that side of things so you don’t have to. The “Oh No” Moment Look, we’ve all been there. A lamp pops in the middle of a shift, and suddenly your entire production line is just… sitting there. Your throughput hits zero. That’s why we keep these units in bulk. We don’t want you waiting weeks for a part. We ship them fast because we know every hour of downtime is money leaking out of your pocket. One last thing… These lamps get hot. Like, really hot. Keep your reflectors and cooling fans clean. If your airflow is weak, the lamp will overheat and its lifespan will plummet. Do yourself a favor and check your airflow every 500 hours. It takes five minutes, but it saves you a lot of headaches later.
